Mathematical proficiency is an everlastingly impactful skill. Math is not just a course taken in school that gets thrown away later in life. Math knowledge is a fundamental stepping stone to unlocking crucial aspects of our lives, such as problem-solving and future occupations. With that in mind, this course places conceptual understanding above all else (while also not discounting useful tricks) and aims to provide students with an excellent foundational grasp of math in grades 3-5, setting students up for mathematical success later on in their academic careers. The subjects covered in this course are: addition and subtraction, place value and estimation, multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, 2D and 3D shapes, area and perimeter, time, angles, measurement, basic statistics, representing and interpreting data, word problems, basic algebraic expressions
