This course focuses on analyzing the probability of certain events and whether a statistic is significant. The course deals with the statistical methodology used in research, data analysis, and the theoretical basis for these statistical techniques. It includes probability distributions, hypothesis testing, and linear regression. This course will involve collecting data, probability, random variables and probability distribution, sampling distributions, inference for categorical data, and inference for quantitative data. Through this course, students will be introduced to statistics and be ready to implement these strategies into their future mathematical courses.
