Beginner Level Chess

Saturdays 8-9 PM EST

This course is focused on learning the fundamentals of chess. Students will learn the basic ideas that are the foundation of playing solid chess. The skills learned in this course include how pieces move and their values, basic tactics, openings, checkmates, and more. This course will also include playing games between students and solving puzzles to improve students’ chess skills through feedback. Through this course, students will be ready to play chess with a better mindset and implement the strategies they learn to better their rating wherever they play.
