This class covers several major topics which may include but are not limited to: 5th Grade Math (decimal and fraction operations, basic geometry, basic probability, exponents, and graphs) 6th Grade Math (ratios, percentages, negative numbers, basic algebra, coordinate planes, statistics) Pre-Algebra (ratios and percentages, inequalities, algebra, sets, geometry, advanced operations with rational numbers) Algebra I (intermediate and advanced algebra, systems of equations, functions, graphing, irrational numbers) This course helps reinforce the fundamentals of math before moving on to more advanced topics. These skills are an essential of middle school and high school mathematics and will be useful even after school. This course is a general review of the relevant topics required in middle school math and not designed to be an elementary or high school course. Students will learn methods of solving middle school level problems which will prepare them for high school.
