Teddy Bear Talk: Tane Kim

Tane is a 16 year old creator from Irvington, New York. 

Being a Korean- American immigrant, Tane's love for Korean food drove him to found the organization FoodShareJoy in 2020 in order to spread the joy of cultural cuisine and create over 8,000 meals for neighbors in need in New York. 

As a poet and essay writer, his work has been recognized by The Poetry Society of the UK, The New York Times, and Scholastic Art and Writing. 

Being impacted so heavily by creative writing himself, Tane hopes to empower youth voices across the globe by increasing exposure to the freedoms that come from creating art and voicing oneself. 

Through his organizations known as The Incandescent and The Stirling Review, he hopes to make youth publication mainstream in high schools worldwide.
